ISO 17100
– Translation services
ISO 17100 is an international standard that sets out requirements for the fundamental processes, resources, and other aspects necessary to provide quality translation services that meet applicable specifications.
This international standard demonstrates the compliance of our translation services with the requirements of the standard, and our ability to provide a translation service through our work processes and resources that meets various specifications.
The specifications in question may be outlined by the client, by the translation service provider itself, or may be derived from relevant industry codices, from best practice manuals, or from legislation.
ISO 18587
– Post-editing of machine translation output
ISO 18587 is an international standard that specifies the requirements by which conformance for post-editing of machine translation output can be referenced, with an annex describing the limited post-editing of machine translation output service.
It specifies the requirements for the process of the full human post-editing of machine translation output, and for post-editors' competences.
ISO 18587 is intended for use by translation service providers, by their clients, and by post-editors. It applies only to content processed by machine translation systems.
